Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics (JFBI) (ISSN 1940-8676) is an academic, peer-reviewed and fully refereed journal to promote multidisciplinary research and collaborations on a variety of fields, including: nano science, nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, biology, medicine science, material science, textile science and technology, clothing science and technology, mathematics, computer science and informatics, human physiology, anthropology, to fashion design, engineering design and interior design.

JFBI aims to provide a major publication channel for research in the interfaces between fiber/textile engineering and biosciences/biotechnologies and information technology.

JFBI aims to create an international forum for exchanging novel ideas between the West and the East, particularly China, as we believe that China has become a major base of textile research and development, the overall impact of research in fiber science, engineering and technology can consequently be improved. To enable this, JFBI accepts submission of research papers in Chinese. After peer review, English translation and/or English editing services are offered for the accepted papers with a fee to cover the costs involved. Also, JFBI will publish the Chinese title of each accepted paper in addition to publication of the full paper in English.

JFBI is fully committed to help authors to generate high impact research outputs in terms of academic citaions, industrial applications and contributions to the society.

All submitted articles must be reported as original, meaning that the articles should contain previously unpublished research results (experimental or theoretical). Ultimately, each and every article will be peer-reviewed. Articles submitted to the journal must meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts must follow the style of the journal (Link to the style requirments) and are subject to both review and editing.

JFBI reviews papers within approximately eight weeks of submission and publishes accepted articles on the internet immediately upon receiving the final versions.
